An ex-Arizona Cardinal is launching a construction company in the Valley.
Former NFL linebacker, Wesley Leasy, announced in June his plans to establish Leasy Construction LLC, a company that will provide various types of construction services throughout Arizona. Leasy will take on the roles of owner and CEO.
The Cardinals selected Leasy in the seventh round of the 1995 NFL Draft, where he spent one season. In 2022, he also tried a campaign for the Arizona House of Representatives, an experience that he believes greatly influenced his vision for the company. Leasy said that his interest in construction dates back to his college days, before his NFL draft selection.
“Providing for the community and offering employment opportunities were major challenges I encountered during my campaign in the previous election,” Leasy said. “Achieving fair housing and equal opportunities for people presented a formidable task.“
Leasy Construction is also interested in expanding its project list to include government projects, such as freeways and other infrastructures. Leasy said that his team is currently working on a commercial building for First United Door Technologies in Tempe. They also have another commercial project lined up for a marijuana dispensary.
The company will offer several types of services, such as general construction, project management, specialized construction solutions, and renovations. Our services are available for both residential and commercial projects.
“I aim to become a reliable resource for the community in the Valley, offering several types of services in one simple place,” Leasy said.
Leasy Construction is serious about expanding its operations and is ready to take on projects throughout Arizona. Leasy prioritizes projects in rural areas due to their major growth in the Valley.
“My license permits me to work throughout Arizona, including smaller rural areas that are experiencing major growth,” Leasy said. “I want to be there to help it grow and take advantage of that chance.”
Leasy Construction currently occupies about 800 square feet of office space in the Phoenix area. Leasy said that despite the company’s young age, multiple teams will provide services.
